What's the latest movie you've seen?

I do agree. He was good in SW and of course Schindler's List, but he keeps signing up for these movies in the same way Eastwood was pegged as a tough cowboy or Bruce Willis as a tough cop until they had the sense to start turning down, or at least making themselves more than just about those roles. It seems today you can look at any Neeson movie and predict pretty much what way it's going to go. I agree he's a good actor, but he's been shoehorned into a box it seems he either can't, or doesn't want to get out of. Maybe the money is too good.

How to describe this? Fight Club, but more depressing and for a modern audience? Damn this was bleak - it was the kind of cringe that is memorable, but hard to watch - a slow descent into madness, the blurring of reality and fantasy, the influence social media or more broadly, parasocial relationships have on our mind - the danger of loneliness. If I knew it dealt heavily with a family member that has dementia, I might not have watched it. You feel gross by the end. But it was effective. Gotta say though, the ending I didn't like much - somewhat cliche.

I'm not a Trekkie, but I know Will is widely lauded and respected in those circles. He does an excellent job in this movie. Peep the trailer for yourself. He put on a great performance.

I loved that one!!

I just watched Sound of Metal, about a metal drummer who loses his hearing.  I feel like I needed to watch it, it speaks about accepting change and moving thru ur life with the cards ur dealt, the importance of the people around us, god it was heartbreaking.  Life is tragic, being here is important and enough.

at the end of the movie, he goes to France where his girlfriend's dad lives.  the rest of the movie is not in france and very little of it isn't in english

Just finished it. 10/10. It's now my favorite Wes Anderson movie. It had literally everything I'd want in a Wes Anderson movie and then some. I really really enjoyed this one.
