Splash (1984)

I saw this in the theater when it was new, and maybe one more time as a young adult, but it's been a long time. I was surprised that it holds up as well as it does. Aside from John Candy's character's pervy-ness, this movie, including the VFX, has aged incredibly well.

Throw your dog the invisible bone.

One of Karen's favourite movies. A very young Tom Hanks, and basically a modern version of The Little Mermaid. Without all the cute songs.

Cry Vengeance (1954)

:3stars:

Crime thriller about a former cop who is released from prison after serving time for a bribery charge which he was framed on. He is obsessed with seeking revenge against the man he believes is responsible for the deaths of his wife and child in a bomb blast which was meant for him shortly before he was set up and sent to prison.

After seeing Flow,, it left me in the mood for another good animated movie. I watched The Wild Robot. Anyone here seen that one? I quite liked it. Deifnitely tugged on your heart strings. Best thing Dreamworks has done in a long while imo.

Haven't seen it but it looks good. Isn't he friends with a bird or something in it?

Yeah, she stumbles on a bird egg and through circumstance, ends up becoming a mother to the bird (who is a runt).

I saw Wild Robot a few weeks ago and loved it.

Throw your dog the invisible bone.

Its been on my to watch list. I wanted to see it while it was in theaters.

Same thing with Piece by Piece but I ended up watching it a few weeks ago.

It's interesting to see Pharrell's autobiography in Lego pieces. It's a great nostalgia trip hearing all the songs he produced and was part of.

I was this cool the whole time.
