QuoteI don't think that people accept the fact that life doesn't make sense. I think it makes people terribly uncomfortable. It seems like religion and myth were invented against that, trying to make sense out of it.

RIP Lynch

I was this cool the whole time.

RIP - Lynch was a true visionary.

The literal greatest.

I always feel it's weird "liking" a post about someone dying, but I guess there's no other way to show your support, as it were. It's a pity Exo didn't join us; I bet he's pretty broken up right now. He was a real Lynch fan. I wonder if he's looking in over at MB? Might drop him a line.

I suppose Lynch being the maverick he was, there's some alternate dimension where there's only him and maybe three other people alive (one of whom lives permanently in black-and-white) and he's still making films. RIP Mr. L: your movies weren't for me, but I recognise your genius and your status in the movie community, and you will be missed, most likely never replaced.

I was very sad to hear of Lynch's passing. Maybe the most sad I've been about any celebrity death so far. May his movies and memory live on.

Happiness is a warm manatee

Eraserhead is my favorite of his films. I showed it to my wife 3 or 4 years ago - she'd never seen Lynch movies before and we took some edibles before watching it. And she was shook after seeing that movie. She claims she hates it but has watched it 2 or 3 more times since her first viewing. She takes every opportunity to watch it again. And that tells the real story.

lol I have an "eraserhead baby on board" bumper sticker on my car. It's my second favorite, after Elephant Man.

Eraserhead might be my favorite as well. Maybe Blue Velvet second? I also like Elephant Man and even like Fire Walk With Me. Lost Highway and Mulholland are movies I wanna rewatch. The first half of Lost Highway is creepy.

The ones I haven't seen are The Straight Story and Inland Empire. They've been on my to-do list forever.

Happiness is a warm manatee

The Straight Story is wholesome af and downright pleasant viewing as I recall.

Although he died last year, it has only been officially announced that John Sykes passed away. I loved him in Thin Lizzy and thought he was an exceptional guitarist. He was also good with the later incarnation of Tygers of Pan-Tang and played for Whitesnake too. A real all-rounder, his solo on Lizzy's "Cold Sweat" is forever imprinted on my mind.

RIP John, gone way too soon.
