A depressing double hit on the music front.

Loved the "Cold Fact" album from Rodriguez back when I first heard it many years ago.

Can't say I was ever into 'The Band' but Robbie Robertson was one of the big names in the music scene when I was growing up.

R.I.P. to both of them.

Indeed. I gifted my ex-wife Cold Fact on vinyl back in the day, and my introduction to Robbie Robertson was his 1998 downtempo album, Contact from the Underworld of Redboy which has a few really memorable cuts wedding Native American tribal themes with contemporary electronics. Good stuff.

I spent many hours watching 'The Price Is Right' on TV in the daytime during summer vacations from school during the 1970's.

R.I.P. to a legendary game show host.

I feel like this is Mandella effect going on again, but I could have sworn that Bob passed away years ago. Maybe they were just death hoaxes but I'm like wtf he was still alive when I heard this news.

I was this cool the whole time.

I claimed both of their finest efforts on wax a few years ago. Some of the best work of the decade.

The only song I know him for is "Margaritaville" and I always thought of him as a goofy novelty act with an inexplicable cult following.

I would've guessed he was a multimillionaire maybe a couple dozen times over but the fact that he was a billionaire is mind-boggling to me.

Right there with you. I live in a neighborhood full of older people and have seen the cult of Buffett firsthand. No matter how much I am immersed in that suburban white normie environment I am no closer to understanding his appeal.

I know it is poor form to speak ill of the dead but of course he died due to skin cancer. Living the beach bum life you gotta wear sunscreen and protect your skin especially white people!

I was this cool the whole time.

Aw, that sucks. I really like a lot of his music, both Spooky Tooth and his first two solo albums. Also as an enthusiast of the much maligned keytar, he was super early to embracing them.

Rest in peace Sir Bobby.
