Quote from: Janszoon on Jul 19, 2024, 04:40 AMWhat I actually do when I have hiccups is I drink a mug full of water with a knife in it. My fourth grade teacher taught me this and I have no idea why it works, but it does.

I've never heard of this way, I need to know the logistics so I can try it next time 😂

I think you're so focused on not poking yourself in the eye that you forget to hiccup.

This is what you want. This is what you get.

Never heard of it, but I wonder if it has something to do with the water gaining a metallic taste from the knife? A similar cure here is to sip vinegar, so I reckon it could be based on the sharp taste? All I know is that holding my breath for thirty seconds always does it for me. Well, almost always.

I expect getting deep throated would help as well.

I bet doing the deep throating would be even more effective.
