Is there a band called moving forest?

There may very well be, but that ain't it.

Come on, guys, this is not as hard as it sounds. A really really REALLY well-known and famous band. I thought yiz would have got this right away. If you want some hints I'll drop them but I really didn't think they'd be needed.

Wood -> Stone
Standing still -> Rolling
Single piece -> plural

I think I've got it. The Stone Rollings!

"An underrated muso" but don't quote me on it..

Assuming I did get The Rolling Stones, here's the next round:

Ovaltine's Midday Walkers

Correct.
Don't get the Ovaltines bit but again, though I think I have it, I'll step back and see if someone else wants to take a shot.

Dexys are short for something which people take to stay up all night. Ovaltine is historically something people take if they wish to hit the sack pronto.

For 30 years I thought Dexy was short for "Dexter". Until yesterday. What am I like, lol!

Okay, I knew what Ovaltine is/was, like kind of hot chocolate or cocoa you take at night (never liked it myself) but had no idea there was a product called Dexys.

Yes, dexy is slang for dexamphetamine pills, which a lot of the people in the club scenes in the 70s and 80s used to fuel their all night clubbing. In particular I believe they were very into Dexedrine which is in the same class as meds like Adderall and Vyvanse that are prescribed for ADHD, but less diluted and thus more rarely prescribed by psychiatrists.

I know this stuff all too well as a former amphetamine addict. Perhaps you could have called me Dexi Darling back then, hehe.

I didn't have a clue about Dexys either, but I asked google why Dexys:

QuoteWhy is it called Dexys Midnight Runners?
The band's name was derived from Dexedrine, a brand of dextroamphetamine used as a recreational drug among Northern soul fans to give them energy to dance all night.

I remember reading about your previous speed habits, Lexi, and I when I was writing about Dexy and Dexter, I did indeed think of Lexi and Lexter. Lexter Darling has a great ring to it  :love:

Come to think of it, I remember taking some type of Dexy at Cream nightclub in Sheffield in the late 90s. First and last time I dabbled in the white tablets. Didn't do much for me tbh. Was hyper-active enough as it was.

Now, Northern Soul, that is something I needs to look into.

Hannibal Lexter, she'll eat you with some fava beans and a nice dexy pill.  :laughing:
