The band name is just one word (a real word, not made up), and they were not usually mentioned with "the", i.e. more like "Traffic" than "The Beatles".

Shoulda been the Ink Spots, anyway, not their underground, unknown cousins the Ink Blots.    They could be seen on the landscape though, if you looked sharp, Tom.

Can you give us the era they were known for, Lisna? 50s? 60s? 70s? Later?
