Disappearing posts! WTF??

What the actual Christmas fuck!!?? I spent ages working on my Christmas thread, and now the last entry I made last night - a long one, very involved - isn't there! Not in drafts either! I KNOW I posted it, as I edit and check always beforehand, and it was there. Now it's not! Is there a fucking internet forum Grinch in here, stealing our posts???!!! fr tho if it's a post i really care about i usually type it somewhere else and copy paste bc this has consistently happened since music banter as well

I'm sorry the Christmas Grinch stole your post, @Trollheart 😐 It occasionally happens to me too. I can't see any good ways to eradicate this problem entirely as these sort of hiccups could be due to a number of factors that are hard to control.

Like @tristan_geoff, I will often write or copy my text to elsewhere for safety.. at least if they're long texts.

Oh believe me, I'm the Baron of Backup! I NEVER write anything directly onto the post - at least, nothing important - and I had the main post already written. But in my inimitable and annoying way, I had added in extra lines and quips which were written in freehand, and so I had to try to remember those the next morning, which I think mostly I did.

I'm actually taking to making drafts now if the post is large (what do you mean, if? You know who you're talking about?)  :laughing: so hopefully it won't happen again. It was just a shock when I saw it was not there, and to be honest, I wasn't sure if it was only one post, as I now have in the region of 70 posts in the Christmas thread, and it's getting hard to remember what I posted and what I have yet to post.

Now, where's my Grinch gun? C'mere you! I'll give you fucking rhyming at Christmas, ye green bastard!  :laughing:  :laughing:  :finger:
