Listened to some of this, it does have moments where I really enjoy the textures and it comes together really nicely, but I agree that it does fade into uninteresting wallpaper sometimes.

But as an ambient junkie I thought it was solid for a first foray into that style.

I'll give it a chance but not sure what to make of it.

He's a solid musician outside of rapping anyway so no reason why it can't be decent.

I listened to it recently. It's pretty short and sweet. No, Andre aint the best pianist or anything, and the record is rather lo-fi, but I enjoyed it for what it was. I know fans want him to make a rap album, but imo he's earned the right to record/release whatever he wants. If his heart aint in making a rap album, then it probably wouldn't be very good anyways.
