Banning Tik-Tok over some nebulous vague data security threat from China has always been bullshit. Any state actor can get their mits on that data from data brokers for peanuts. All of your data is on sale always. This was always about narrative control, which became pretty clear after public opinion on Israel/Palestine shifted so rapidly and massively (and likely permanently). They're desperately trying to stuff the toothpaste back into the tube. Not gonna work.
