I thought this was interesting, although I've only read the news article and it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Cat ownership is associated with schizophrenia. It may roughly double the risk, though it may be important when in life you have exposure to them.

This is not completely unexpected because cats are potential carriers for toxoplasmosis, a parasite that increases risk taking behaviours in mice and which studies seem to suggest can have a similar effect on humans. I've known about toxoplasmosis' (and by extension cats') potential for increasing suicide rates and traffic accidents, but the schizophrenia diagnosis is new (if true).

50 "exceptionally well-preserved" Viking skeletons unearthed in Denmark

"This discovery offers extraordinary opportunities to perform a wide range of scientific analyses, which can reveal more about the general health, diet, and origins of those buried," said Michael Borre Lundø, archaeologist and curator at Museum Odense, in a statement.

He added that it was "truly unusual" to find so many well-preserved skeletons at once.
