What made you start to learn Chinese? I know a few phrases but nothing major. Taking away the political side of things it's a very interesting country and culture.

I only know english so I wanted to learn something new. I started the app Duolingo and that is way fun! makes learning a game kind of. I am wondering when I'll actually use it but maybe I travel to China.

It would be quite fun to learn to be honest, if I wasn't already trying to learn a language I'd maybe give it a go as well.

You should travel to China if you can! I have been (a very long time ago) and it was one of the best holidays I've been on.

I am on day 14 straight of learning the language on Duolingo website/app;
Learned a fuck ton of Chinese history and about their elite politics;
The professor teaching this course predicted the future that in 2022 Xi Jinping would stay in power and boot out term limits;
Which is wild because their congress has term limits and can't be elected after age 57;
Why can't America take note on term limits?
Most of this course on YouTube was information overload, so it's hard to not learn a little something;
The plan is to just start completely over and go through the lectures all over again and try to plant the information deeper into my brain;

I think most voters would prefer term limits for Congress and the Senate. I also think there's just too much money & opportunities for corruption in it for the majority of those in Congress or the Senate to ever go along with it, though.

Once they get elected, most of them don't ever want to give up all the easy wealth, power, & privileges of their office.
