Today I realized that my answer might very well be Knower's Like A Storm
It is a beautiful song anyway but the contrast between the soft melody and the frantic drums, at first a bit at odds with each other but then somehow growing tigether, becoming one powerful force... It fits the title and the lyrics very well.

It just doesn't get any more real that this, as far as I'm concerned.  This is the only song I've ever heard that described falling in love in a way that I can relate.
