So I started from AM and worked my way up to the most recent release from them. Now I'm working my way from their debut up to AM.

I just finished whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not. Listening to that album again just jogged good memories of my college days.

AM's memories relate to my ex roommate because they used to play songs from that album all the time.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was so awesome to listen to. I like that they decided to go more piano centric as opposed to the heavy guitar work they have done since their debut album. This album has such a chill lounge singer vibe to it. Reminds me of like going into a hotel in Old Las Vegas. The Car follows up with that similar vibe/sound and I enjoyed it. Not as much as my first time hearing the new style but I'd give it a 7/10 while Tranquility gets a 9/10.

I heard an Arctic Monkeys song either in a commercial or a movie trailer recently and it made me want to re-visit their albums. I feel like I only listened to like their debut album and possibly the 4th one and part of the loungey album they put out. I'll update once I get through them. I first heard of this band around the time their debut came out but my memories of this band are tied to an old roommate of mines.

I've got a big soft spot for their first record. The rest of them (that I heard) never did much for me. Much like The Strokes actually.

It might be a bit overrated these days, but Is This It? is still one hell of a great debut album. A lot of people really like the followup, Room on Fire as well, but I'm not as big on that one.

Andre 3k is going to release a flute instrumental album on Nov. 17th with no bars. So I decided to go through Outkast's discography but I started at Stankonia then I'm going to go back to their first album and work my way up.

So many good memories listening to Stankonia again after all this time. I believe I was in my gap year between coming home from the military and going to college when this came out or when I listened to it heavily.

Stankonia is definitely my favorite Outkast record. While I dislike skits on most rap albums, I never skip 'em on that record. BREAK.

The whole sound of the album is just eclectic. It sounds a lot more raw, aggressive and colorful than their other records. Many of their other records have this woozy, sort of dreamlike production that just doesn't hit the same for me.

When I listen to Stankonia, it brings me back to my college days - outside the dorms with my roommate, smoking a cigarette, and listening to "Snappin' and Trappin'" - "One muthafuckin verse, and already, it's a classic!"

I lost track of my list big time but the nostalgic stuff I have been listening too lately is Tool.

I asked a friend of mines what his favorite band was and he said Tool. I know a few Tool singles but over the course of the conversation. I realized that I have never listened to a Tool album front to back. I started with Laterus but should've started with Undertow. Made it through those two albums and honestly, I wasn't missing much from the popular tracks off each album.

I love the Schism music video so much though.

Prison Sex and Sober were my faves from Undertow and Schism and Laterus from that album.

Tool is one of those bands where I kinda like the popular songs, but I also never took the full plunge. They're a bit dour, perhaps 🤔 Great sound, though.

Yeah he was telling me that he doesn't like introducing people to Tool because people usually don't have the patience to get to the good parts of songs since they build up which is typical for prog bands. 7 minute plus tracks and the average listener will tap out and be uninterested.

Wow it must have been incredible to see them live.

When I was younger, I had zero patience to listen to any tracks longer than 4 minutes. So I was not a fan of Tool that much just one or two songs here and there.

I saw them too, at Lollapalooza 2009. They were super good, but I was surrounded by very pungent weed smell from all sides, which distracted me somewhat lol.
