Is anyone actually planning to vote in this battle? I should maybe have asked before starting it, but I seem to remember there was at least some interest before we decided to do the previous Wild card battle first, just so that people could have some extra time to listen to these albums.

I guess I could put this one on hold for the time being and instead move on to our next sceduled battle, namely Ska Punk:

I honestly just haven't had the time to listen to the albums I haven't heard.

I think we got more engagement with the ones where it was a bunch of classic albums from several different genres, I feel like people are less likely to be particular crossover thrash enthusiasts.

I personally like the multi-genre ones the best as well, if the more niche genres aren't getting engagement maybe another wild card kind of battle could be on the table? Just a suggestion.

yeah I'm not familiar with these Trash albums but I will listen to a good chunk of them tomorrow and then vote. idk if I'm going to be the only one voting.

I didn't realize that the next battle was on. Haven't checked the thread for several days. I'm only familiar with 4 of the albums in the list, and it's been a long time since I listened to those 4.

In the meantime I'll try to think of some way to deal with the upcoming genre battles that also may be more niche/obscure.

Yeah thanks for the extension, I've been a bit busy with rl and it seems others have too. The extension is perfect. I'm going to que up a few of the albums and listen to them at the gym and in the car.

I think with genre battles that are more niche/obscure , just give us a little longer deadlines so those that are interested have time to actually listen to the albums that we are picking.

When it comes to some of the other genres majority of the times we know the albums because we've listened to them in the past. If it's more obscure stuff give the ones that want a chance to actually hear the albums for the first time by stretching out the voting periods a little longer.

Just out of interest GD, the 7th option just seems to be a playlist that features Stormtroopers of Death quite prominently. Not sure if that was meant to be added or not as it doubles up on the 3rd option.
