"God only made so many perfect heads. The rest, he covered with hair."

This is a thread for the bald community of the forum but all are welcome to post and contribute.

What age did you notice you were losing your hair? How long were you bothered about it for and how are you with it now?

What do our hairy headed SCDers think about it? Do you prefer a bald gentleman? If you woke up tomorrow and you were bald how would you feel? Who are some of your favourite bald celebrities?

Hopefully this thread can support any struggling bald brothers (or sisters) and enlighten those who are not follicly challenged.

Only God knows.

I have a full head of hair but I occasionally shave my head all the way to baldness. I don't think I look better without any hair on my head but I find it much more comfortable. Also, I don't have to bother using a comb or brush after I get out of my shower and I don't have to carry a comb with me when I'm out of the house, so the low-maintenance aspect of it is nice.

Yul Brynner and Telly Savalas were a couple of bald actors I've always enjoyed watching on TV and in movies.

I noticed I was losing my hair in my mid-20s, but it's been a slow process. Two decades later I still have enough hair to have a hairstyle, but it's getting pretty thin so I'm sure eventually I'll have to buzz it. I think that looks great on a lot of people, but I'm not sure I'm one of them. I've shaved my head in the past and didn't really like how it looked on me, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I started going bald in my twenties, probably 25 or so. It's very thin on top now but I only recently cut it short. Guess my hippie days are over :(

At times it was shoulder length. I looked like Riff Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture Show

I always wanted to try having hair that length but it would always bother me once it started poking me in the ears. lol

As long as you aren't very very skinny and you can grow some facial hair then it'll be fine.

I feel sorry for the men who lose their hair but also can't grow anything on their face.

Only God knows.

How come it took you so long to have it short? Do you prefer it now?

Only God knows.

Like I said, I am a hippie by heart plus I hate barbers. Still have a beard albeit a closely cropped one.

i'm not balding but i can't grow a proper beard as i have mentioned many times. It does make me feel like less of a man to know that i could never join ISIS even if i wanted to.

Yeah, that's rough. I guess I'm fortunate that I can grow a decent beard.

Guessing you're mid 30s so you probably can and think you can't because you shave it off after two weeks cos it doesn't look like a viking beard yet.

Hopefully you don't go bald though.

Only God knows.

Obligatory:

I noticed I was going bald in my 20s and went for the bald look sometime in my 30s.

I imagine if I let it grow, I'll look like Bill Bailey's younger brother. He's a brave man.

I think I look okay, but I do miss having options. I guess I still do, but I refuse to wear a hairpiece.
