The only reason I think we don't have a Name That Tune thread is because back on MB, this was what attracted Pandas (eats, shoots and leaves)  , real fly-by-night one-posters who used the forum just to get what they wanted out of it and then fucked off without often even saying thanks.

Just like us men, I guess. 

But generally speaking, the kind of people who posted there weren't interested in hanging around, just getting the answer to their question and never contributing after that. In fairness, one or two people did show their gratitude, but even then they didn't stay. So I think encouraging that sort of poster would be a mistake.

If the general consensus is otherwise, let me know and we can set one up. But be ready for the floodgates to open! And who's going to close them after these people have all swarmed through, without, mind you, wiping their muddy boots? That's what I want to know! We've just got the place the way we like it now; do we want uncouth one-poster pandas clumping all over our nice clean floors?

MB gets a lot of eyes on it at all times. I never really thought about that until the switch to this website where it's starting all over and no connection to the almighty Advameg

Yeah, I wasn't making some snarky comment about no "Name That Tune" thread, TH. Good description of how it used to be on MB, so probably not worth having it here, unless people like the idea of watching pandas run about all over the house.

Good question. Honestly, all the group icons/group memberships are a little lacking, I chose that one at some point - I don't remember if it was tied to the Abyss subforum or the unmoderated subforum, but I haven't yet bothered to change it. Much like my avatar or my little profile quote (which has been the same since MB), I don't often make changes - too lazy. If there was a group membership I liked more or spoke to my poor little heart more deeply, I would.
