Quote from: jimmy jazz on Apr 10, 2023, 02:45 PMThey're already in about £140m of debt and are making losses of about £100m every year for the past four years (which is why they're in trouble with the league and facing a points deduction). They have to pay £200m for this new stadium. Goodison is probably worth about £10m, it's falling down. How many of the players are on huge, long term contracts? That will mean they will struggle to even give them away for free. I think you are seriously over valuing their squad, they don't have many saleable assets, they sold Richarlison and Gordon already. How are they going to pay these PL wages if they get relegated and lose their PL money?

In short, they're in deep trouble. And Moshiri isn't getting £500m.

Deducted 10 points today.

Its worth pointing out that Everton faced one charge, cooperated fully with the investigation and were not deemed to have gained an on pitch advantage.

Man City have 115 charges, and you know the rest.

There is no way MC can get off with a slap on the wrist now.

@Trollheart

Only God knows.

Meanwhile the Ajax women have defeated PSG in the champions League group stage, absolutely insane

Man City might as well be relegated to non-league and be made to play teams such as Bromley and Hartlepool.

Hopefully they'll be dreaming it was only relegation by the time people are done with them. Trophies need to be stripped.

Only God knows.

If Man City and Chelsea get relegated because of these charges, it will be a victory for football and sport in general.
But it probably won't happen because of strings being pulled somewhere, or brown envelopes being passed.

I think that but then why go so hard on Everton? They can't let either of them off lightly now.

Relegation isn't enough for me anyway, when Juventus were caught cheating in the mid 00s they had their league titles taken away for that period (as well as relegation). That's the minimum that should happen here.

I think that clubs should refuse to play MC until these charges are dealt with and if that's not possible for legal reasons then the fans should boycott the games. It's disgusting to pay to watch your team have 20% possession at home and lose 4-0 against a team that has been illegally put together.

I really hate them BTW.

Only God knows.

Do you follow Norway much?

Not at all. I've never managed to maintain an interest in the sport.

Nice 🙂

What did they do? Sack the old team and hire a new one?

Sacked the old manager got a new one.

The new one was a bit if a surprise as his reputation was so good. It's changed everything.

Only God knows.

Saw the video of a policeman on fire and screaming. Polish fans also broke into Villa Park, threw missiles into the crowd and beat up a lad outside the Tesco near the ground. Plenty of footage all over Twitter of the trouble.

46 arrests. We now seemingly have a friendship with Alkmaar, who also experienced the wrath of the Polish hooligans when they played them.

Grr, English fans!

Only God knows.

Well I've just about recovered from Wednesday.

Villa are the talk of the footballing world after dominating Man City from start to finish. The scoreline was 1-0 but it was the most one sided 1-0 you'll ever see. 4-0 would not have flattered us.

I'm happy for you, mate 🙂 must be a fun time to be a Villa fan.

Here, Villa is an old-fashioned sugary, brownish soda:

The general opinion among football fans and pundits was, if we beat Arsenal then we have it be taken seriously. Last night, Villa did beat Arsenal.

The goal:

Something special might be happening. They are now genuinely talking about us as potential title challengers.

Wtf is going on.

Only God knows.
