When the lights in the movie theater come on and you're still in your seat. That's the atmosphere of this forum.

Why don't you post something interesting and give us something to watch then?

Have you checked my foreskin thread in the unmoderated forum?

Maybe you could spruce up the atmosphere by finally picking an avatar

Incorrect. The atmosphere of this forum is mostly Hydrogen and Nitrogen, with some trace elements.

I have to admit, I don't get the analogy in the OP. If the lights come on and you're still in your seat, what does that mean? To me, that would mean either a) I've stuffed myself too much and can't move b) I've hurt myself and see (a) or, more likely c) I enjoyed the movie so much I don't want to leave. It could also mean I prefer to wait for the crowds to clear out before I move. Maybe I've seen someone in the cinema I don't want to talk to and am avoiding them? There are countless reasons why you should still be in your seat, and none of them tie in, to me, to what's being said in the OP. I assume it's a derogatory thing, but I sure don't get it.

^ I have only done this a few times in my life, but it's always been an enjoyable moment because it has usually been a variation on TH reason #3: I've seen an impactful movie with someone in whose company I feel really at ease. Without pressure, you can sit and chat. Instead of that irritating cattle-like shuffle to the exit that so many movie-goers submit to, you decide instead to claim the space of the auditorium for your own pleasure; you can look around, notice details that that are missed by many; you can talk expansively, without hurry, on any topic you want, and you have a warm, satisfied feeling that comes from enjoying congenial company, and when you decide to leave, you can do so at your own leisure, unobstructed and unhindered.

So, yeah, there are many parallels to SCD, and they're all good.

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.

Damn Lisna, talk about excellent descriptive writing. Now you've got me in the mood to go see a movie! :)

Yeah, if I'm still in my seat when the lights come on, it's usually because I've had a cinematic experience that moved me somehow and I'm still processing it.

Happiness is a warm manatee

It means the show is over but you're still hanging around.

Well of course, we've gotta stay tuned for the second part of the double feature!

What if we just replaced oxygen with swag?
