Ooh, Darkwing Duck is a great shout. Disney had the cartoon theme song game on lock in the 80s and early 90s.

What if we just replaced oxygen with swag?

Through the years...

Hey, hey, hey!...

Fat Albert

Gotta have some Duckula in there!

The Trumpton roll call "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb" was a good one in the early eighties. Folk guitar with crisp military discipline, in the spirit of helping the local community.

So much so that it inspired a rave version in the '90s. Although I never attended one of those spontaneous raves in some field in Shropshire or wherever, I reckon this cover was one of the influences that got me tuned into electronic/house music.

"An underrated muso" but don't quote me on it..

Always was more a Camberwick Green guy myself...

and linked to that..

Thread needs more dog. And owner.

Look out! Here comes the spider man...

Spider-Man

An entire thread could be made just for the theme music of various Hanna-Barbera TV shows. Here are a couple of rock/pop-themed ones...

Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles

Josie and the Pussycats

Hawaii Five-O

CHiPs

American Horror Story 1984 Theme (Season 9)

Police Squad

Maybe the best one ever

Cowboy Bebop

Around when SNL started, Lorne Michaels also started SCTV in Canada. Cheating because it's not the theme, but a ridiculously good punk parody from the show including John Candy, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Andrea Martin, and Joe Flaherty

^ I totally remember that roll call ! My mum and I both enjoyed hearing it (at approx ages of 17 and 60) so, if we add in the target audience of what? six-year-olds, that simple list of names had genuine multi-generational appeal !

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.
