Well, you know the old saying two wrongs don't make a right.

I have a lot of respect for our healthcare workers. They were on the frontlines during covid, putting themselves at risk, getting overworked, have to deal with that suffering as well as just randos from the general public which may or may not be dangerous assholes. And all for relatively little compensation. I think they deserve more.

Now, I won't make claims about healthcare workers in the US, but I have to agree that your comments against them seem too violent for one thing and like you're anyways misplacing blame and responsibility to a huge extent.

News Alert: WHO says Covid-19 is no longer a global health emergency


Covid-19 is no longer a global health emergency, the World Health Organization said on Friday.

WHO's International Health Regulations Emergency Committee discussed the pandemic on Thursday at its 15th meeting on Covid-19, and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus concurred that the public health emergency of international concern, or PHEIC, declaration should end.

"For more than a year the pandemic has been on a downward trend," Tedros said at a news conference Friday.

"This trend has allowed most countries to return to life as we knew it before Covid-19," Tedros said. "Yesterday, the emergency committee met for the 15th time and recommended to me that I declare an end to the public health emergency of international concern. I have accepted that advice."

Jaws' star Richard Dreyfuss slams new Oscars diversity rules

The categories, each pertaining to different aspects of a movie's production, would require new diversity measures to be met through "On-screen Representation," "Creative Leadership and Project Team," "Industry Access and Opportunities," and "Audience Advancement."

"On-screen Representation" is classified as at least one lead character from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group, having at least 30 percent of secondary roles be from two underrepresented groups or the main storyline has to focus on an underrepresented group.

According to the Academy, underrepresented groups include women, people of color, people who identify as LGBTQ+ or people with disabilities, and the new standards are meant to encourage diversity on and off the screen.
