No man that's bollocks. Because the system is broken they deserve to be shot down? Or deserve no sympathy if they are? And anyway as I said, these appear not to be staff, though I may have misread that. Whether they are or not, everyone deserves sympathy for being shot without provocation. Can't get behind you on that one, no way. You're gonna lump every person who works in any sort of medical facility or health care together and say they deserve it? Come on. Seriously.

the way i've been treated at clinics and hospitals the past couple years i no longer have any compassion for healthcare workers

they treat people like shit - they leave you in pain - put their asses on ibuprofen for their gunshot wounds and then they can get back to me on this opioid epidemic bullshit

i feel the same way about fast food employees and other so called essential workers

As for the hospital, sure they're garbage but you know who sucks? All the low level nurses and shit. The actual doctors are usually both very valueble and also very spread thin.  We need a few more doctors and a few less ratchet ass nurses in my estimatation.

there was provacation

he needed ativan and they wouldn't give it to them

a man needs help and the law is set up so these are the only people who can help but they refuse to

fuck them

Wow.

Throw your dog the invisible bone.

Healthcare workers literally saved my life. And even if that were not the case, that is an extremely heartless thing to say about victims of violence. Being denied Ativan is not a justification for carnage. I would not try to justify a trans person shooting up a hospital for being denied hormones.

"stressed" is just "desserts" spelled backwards

Now that's the OH I remember from MB

they should be terrified to refuse care and treat people like shit and to leave people in psychological and physiological pain

pro tip to healthcare workers: provide care

this isn't racism; it's holding your own to a moral standard and a man admitting it isn't easy but it is important to see the humanity in the other

Just so you know, assuming you're not trolling, which I don't think you are, you just lost a whole lot of respect from me. Anyone who can not only laugh at and accuse victims of gun violence as having "asked for it", but to encourage others to do the same is not someone I can ever respect. I actually feel sorry for you, that you have such a bleak view of the world. I understand I'm not an American and don't experience perhaps what you do, but there is no way I could ever condone anyone making those comments. Shameful, man. Absolutely bloody shameful.

i didn't say they asked for it nor did i encourage others to do the same

i'm saying you treat people like shit you get what you get

i'm also saying people in healthcare who refuse to actually provide care deserve to live in fear

you can take that however the fuck you want

if this crime was abusive to healthcare workers with direct violence it's something to think about before they continue abusing the american people by neglect

Healthcare workers don't create the policies and they don't deserve to live in fear.

mds and nurse practitioners have the legal authority to prescribe ativan whatever their workplace policy is

the culture in healthcare right now is to dismiss people's complaints about psychological and physiological pain as fraudulent by default and not just four or five people suffer because of it millions do

I'm not an expert on who can do what under what circumstances and I'm sure you aren't either, but you didn't say "MDs and nurse practitioners" before. You just said "healthcare workers", which includes a wide variety of people, most of them not MDs or nurse practitioners.

Murdering and/or terrorizing people is not the way to fix problems in our healthcare system.

how many peaceful strategies should be exhausted before folks just give up and say this just can't be fixed no way no how because all i've seen is movement in the wrong direction my entire life
