They used to be good when they would just send some college kid over into an active african war and just cover that one conflict. My favorite episode of "this week in africa" was the one they did on liberia.

Once they changed their format to the HBO style where its a mish mesh of stories lumped together into a 30 minute broadcast, i stopped watching.

I briefly had a roommate whose life goal was to work for them (Vice started out in Montreal so this was true of a lot of people I've hung out with). The most excitable stoner I've ever met and a huge hip hop head. He was super into the dark web and the first person who tried to explain the idea of crypto to me. We'd sit on the couch and smoke and watch Vice documentaries. Good times

Second woman testifies in defamation and battery case against Donald Trump

During Tuesday's testimony, a businesswoman told jurors that Trump had groped her during a flight to New York in 1979, in what Carroll's attorneys said showed a pattern of behavior on Trump's part. Jessica Leeds is one of two women who the court has ruled are allowed to testify about prior alleged assaults by Trump.

Leeds, who first made her allegations to The New York Times just before the 2016 presidential election, testified that she was on a flight to New York when she was bumped up to first class from her coach seat and wound up next to Trump.

"When I got up there and sat down, the gentleman sitting by the window introduced himself as Donald Trump. We shook hands," Leeds, who was 37 at the time, testified. "What happened was, they served a meal. And it was cleared and we were sitting there, when all of a sudden Trump decided to kiss me and grope me."

She said there was no conversation -- "It was out of the blue."

Leeds described the alleged encounter "like a tussle," saying, "He was trying to kiss me. He was trying to pull me towards him. He was grabbing my breasts. It was like he had 40 million hands."

"It was when he started putting his hand up my skirt, that gave me a jolt of strength," testified Leeds, who said she freed herself and went "storming back to my seat in the back of coach."

First came the good news. After taking classes at a community college, Ricki Korba was admitted to California State University, Bakersfield, as a transfer student. But when she logged on to her student account, she got a gut punch: Most of her previous classes wouldn't count.

The university rejected most of her science classes, she was told, because they were deemed less rigorous than those at Bakersfield — even though some used the same textbooks. Several other courses were rejected because Korba exceeded a cap on how many credits can be transferred.

Now Korba, a chemistry and music major, is retaking classes she already passed once. It will add a year to her studies, plus at least $20,000 in tuition and fees.

"It just feels like a waste of time," said Korba, 23, of Sonora, California. "I thought I was supposed to be going to a CSU and starting hard classes and doing a bunch of cool labs."

News Alert: Several arrests made after Texas massacre suspect found in closet


Several arrests have been made in connection with the capture of the man suspected of fatally shooting five people last week in a Texas home, and "others are hinging on what's going on right now," a sheriff's deputy said Wednesday.

In addition to accused gunman Francisco Oropesa, fewer than five others have been arrested, Chief Deputy Tim Kean of the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office said. "But I can't go into the details."

A 38-year-old Mexican national, Oropesa was found Tuesday evening stowed under a pile of laundry in a closet just a few miles from the massacre site after a tip helped lead authorities to him, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said Tuesday.

Isn't the wording odd? "Fewer than five others"? How many were they expecting? I would have said "up to five others, At least five others" or "No fewer than five others." Just think that's an odd way of expressing it, considering they would have been expecting to have dealing with a single suspect.

A teenager who killed eight fellow students and a security guard in a Serbian school planned the attack for weeks and had a "kill list", according to police.

The 13-year-old was arrested following Wednesday morning's attack at the Vladislav Ribnikar primary school in central Belgrade.

Another six pupils and a teacher were also injured in the shooting.

The motive for the attack is still being investigated, police said.

Officers in helmets and bulletproof vests cordoned off the area around the school, located in the central Vracar neighbourhood, shortly after 08:40 (06:40 GMT).

The suspect, named by police as Kosta Kecmanovic, is alleged to have used his father's guns, both of which had legal permits. He is also said to have gone to a shooting range more than once with his father before the killings.

The boy's mother and father have since been arrested.

In a televised address to the country, President Aleksandar Vucic described the attack as "the most difficult day in the modern history of our country".

He said the suspect would be sent to a psychiatric clinic. Under current Serbian law, he cannot be held criminally responsible as he is under 14.
