If you're going to include it in some stories when it has nothing to do with what's happened then I'd rather you include it in all of them, obviously that's fucking stupid as well but at least it is consistent.

Just report the necessary facts, don't try to influence the reader by selectively choosing which details to report. You guys honestly don't see how only having it one way could increase hatred over time?

Making a joke is very different from earnestly admitting something. Sex with underage people is wrong. So is joking about wanting to have sex with underage  people. To use a much more severe example: there's nothing wrong with someone admitting that they have rape fantasies, but there is with joking about raping someone. Those jokes have a tone of at the worst approval, or at best of making light of something or normalising it. Which is why it obviously doesn't make a difference whether these jokes are made just between men.

@Hawk the only thing that should be gatekept is your mouth. I've tried both taking the piss and having serious discussions with you but you're not reacting well to either

well getting a fine for identifying a fact might not be the iron fist of stalin but i don't like it -

my point was not that its not  racial. He might have very well had racial motives. If the media uncovers anything to demonstrate that then that's fair.  But to just say the race is relevant because the shooter is white and the victim is black is idiotic.
