Shit is clear as day when you just compare crime rates in London vs NYC. London has a crime rate that in genreral would rate up there with an American city.  In every category except murder, where its not even comparable.

They have all the ingredients for a big dangerous city that our cities do.  They have the gangs, the poverty, the racial tension,  etc.  Their gangsters just aren't as well armed. That's the only significant difference.
