the problem with reparations is that it's not about wealth redistribution- it really doesn't matter why you're poor the indignities are the same - liberals sometimes say only whites say that but there are increasing minority voices speaking on behalf of poor disenfranchised rural whites especially those in appalachia - i know personally so obviously anecdotally from my hardest days the greatest compassion and professional assistance i received was from middle class blacks - just we need to acknowledge that we might be able to white our way out of difficult police interactions most wealthier blacks know they got it better than dirt poor white trash in general
