Please discuss all new and upcoming releases here, rather than opening a new thread for each artist, so that the music section doesn't get too cluttered. Thanks.

Isn't this what the album reviews sub forum is for? I'm confused.

I see Key's point but I also can see this thread as a place to mention new things without a full blown review.  More of a, "Hey, Heads Up"!

Jeremy & The Harlequins have released four tracks so far in 2025 from what I guess will be an upcoming album. Best song from 2025 is, "Wrong Way In The Right Lane".

Backstory, Jeremy has fronted this band since reinventing himself after his days with We Are The Fury.  The 2007 album 'Venus' by We Are The Fury is one of the best glam albums you probably never heard.

Big picture, Jeremy's musical diversity over the years and overall quality will remind you of a poor man's Butch Walker.

Yeah it's not necessarily an album review thread, just like those ones we had back on MB: albums due this month/year or just to discuss those released this year. It's basically to try to avoid people posting threads for every artist who releases or is going to release a new album. Just thought it would be tidier.

The album reviews subforum is where you can go if you want to dig down into any particular release; this will be a general thing - Snoop Dogg's new mixtape about to drop (is that how the kids say it?)/new album from the Stones due/when are Band X releasing their latest (very popular, that Band X!)

That sort of fing.

Oh gotcha gotcha. Sounds good! Thank you.

Anthony Gomes will have a new album coming out and the tracks are starting to come out. So far we have "Praise The Loud" and "True That".  Anthony is doing what he always does but not as bluesy as it once was and his southern fried boogie is leaning into hard rock territory.  Guitar music for guys!

been jamming to this one too

The Darkness have a new release, Dreams On Toast.  Actually, half the 10 tracks have been coming out since the end of last year but now it's an official full length release.  I feel it's the most cohesive thing they've ever done.  The perfect balance of all things that are The Darkness; schtick, glam, kick ass music.

GoGo Penguin, Manchester contemporary jazz/electronic group is releasing the new album "Necessary Fictions" in June, and posted one of the singles "Fallowfield Loops" as a taster. I recognized the building in that vid, nicknamed The Toast Rack where I attended some lectures in the late nineties.

Anyone who likes Portico Quartet, Cinematic Orchestra or Mammal Hands might like this:

They can also do heavier, such as this one from 2016.

"An underrated muso" but don't quote me on it..

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard put out two new songs this week.  It takes a minute for the ears to acclimate to the overall sound, I love all the horns.
