After many many failed attempts, I just successfully completed a full run in Gunfire Reborn. God damn, that felt good. 3 bosses killed. A great combination of weapons and items. Now onto the harder difficulty

Some final thoughts before I disappear for a while as I'm adventuring in probably my favorite release of the entire year.

Bethesda really hit it out of the ball park this time. There have been rumors for the past week or so of an Oblivion remaster circling around the internet with nothing strictly confirmed, but then on Monday, Bethesda sent out a tweet stating there was going to be a reveal today, then at that very same reveal they showcase enough to get people excited i.e. gameplay and graphics and then to top it all off, at the end of the showcase they let all the fans know that the game will be immediately available to play as the showcase is ending, on the same day as the reveal. This is what I mean when I tell people that Bethesda is one of my favorite game developers ever. Sure, they've had some hiccups throughout the years, but they have always been a developer that understand what the gamers want. And this time, they really truly delivered. To have a reveal of a brand new game and then to have it release literally minutes after that reveal is almost unheard of. Other developers need to follow suit. People are tired of broken promises and waiting for years for a new game to come out, especially if the game has been teased time and time again *cough* Fable *cough*

The original release of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was back in 2006, and lemme tell ya, after putting a few hours into the remaster tonight, it's brought me back to that sweet sweet moment when I played Oblivion for the very first time. It's basically everything you'd want from the original with a new splash of paint. Basically a remaster done right. I'm very much looking forward to spending all my free time in this game as it's one that I hold very close to my heart as a gamer.

This is a major win for Bethesda and I'm so happy to once again consider myself a long time fan of Bethesda titles. They truly deserve the spotlight on this one. Let's also not forget Virtuos who partnered with Bethesda to bring this remaster to life. If you have never played Oblivion before, now is the time to do it. You are in for a real treat.

For Cyrodiil!

Why do vampires need toilets?
Also, card games? Key! Seriously?
I must admit, I far prefer the gorgeous graphic games you post as opposed to those top-down strategy thingies. I've had far too many of them intrude on apps urging me to INSTALL NOW and when I don't, having to wait for the damned demonstration to end before I can continue with my app. Gaaaahhhh!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is not just a game. It's a journey. It's a reminder. It's one of the first times people stepped into an open world RPG and truly experienced what it feels like to do things on your own, in a world so massive that you don't even know where to start. But it also didn't matter what route you took, what quest you did, what faction you aligned with. The journey was what was and is most important. No hand holding. No definitive way to do anything. It's just you and the adventure ahead. I've been playing the remaster for almost 40 hours and im not even close to scratching the surface. This remaster not only showcases how good the original game was, but also showcases just how important the game was when it released 20 years ago. I am having some of the most fun in gaming that I haven't had in quite some time, and im not even close to finishing my journey. For Cyrodiil!

DREDGE

It's fishing. But with a bit of a lovecraftian vibe along with some spooky vibes.
