Watching this stuff is like hitting a reset button as far as music should be fun.

If the music you're listening to isn't worth standing for then why are you listening?

A time tested favorite

^ Great choice ! Great song !
(In case anyone is not familiar, The Tubes here have toned down the OTT theatricality of a full-on concert in order to fit the confines of the t.v. studio.)

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.

As some of you may know, I've been living in France for the past 20 years with kids in the French school system, so I intend to stay for the foreseeable. However, I am, like everyone else, bothered/curious/frustrated by what is going on recently in the Western media and alternative media.

I say recently; civilisations have been going through difficult times since the year dot. I still stubbonly hold a single passport, the British one, just in case things go tits up in France one day and we need to move back pronto to Macclesfield or hide out in the Peak District or somewhere.

One thing which SCD is unbeatable in is its ability to remain global in its ideas. In all our ideas.
Yeah okay, the big platforms may claim to have the pulse on what everyone is thinking, but they don't have a clue.

EDIT: Big platforms assume that everyone is tuned into them all the time. But the majority of people in my extended family couldn't give a flying fuck what is going on in the wider world politically speaking. They are like a generation of peeps, who never actively  listened to heavy metal or jazz because their own parents considered music a waste of time (well not a waste of time but lower priority to the tasks of the day, but they just get on with their lives, reminding us to watch out for this and that. And I can tell over time that they live the metal, rock and jazz in their own way.

Came across Cinematic Orchestra again. Stong performance from 2001:  This is potentially the concert for everyvbody!

The Cinematic Orchestra - Live At Montreux Jazz Festival 12th July 2001

"An underrated muso" but don't quote me on it..
