I'm thinking about changing my diet this winter to bulk. So I'm probably gonna come up with some heavy protein weekly meal plans to cook on Sunday nights to last the whole week.

Does anyone else meal prep?

I was this cool the whole time.

Sometimes but not really cos most of what I eat doesn't require much cooking.

Whey protein and milk - no cooking
Skyr - no cooking
Mixed veg - 4 mins in microwave
Tinned tuna or mackerel - no cooking
Cottage cheese - no cooking

1g of protein per pound of bodyweight should be enough.

The most ideal thing to cook in bulk is chili or stew. Slow cook a big pot on the weekend then you have meals for in the week.

If you post your target protein amount and how many meals you will eat a day I could help you sort a plan out if you want.

Only God knows.

Thanks I'll take you up on the offer as I get closer to actually meal prepping. I think I might start it off in Nov.

OK just tag me if you need me. Good luck Big D  :checkmark:

Only God knows.

Been doing chili once a week. Big pot. Fucking great.

No way is Hawk's better. No chance.

I make a mirepoix and add that.

Only God knows.

You hear that @Toy Revolver? Your chili honor and pride has been challenged. What say you? Are you going to let Jimmy of the House Jazz get away with this slander and calumny?

I did a meatloaf for me and Daddy Jazz on Wednesday night. It was to honour the US election. I thought American election, American food for dinner.

It was great. I didn't think it would be tbh, but I really enjoyed it. My dad said it was great too, so I will be doing it next week as well probably. BTW we had baked potatoes and corn on the cob with it.

Also, did you guys know that ketchup was originally made with mushrooms? Americans used tomatoes instead and that's the one we associate with ketchup now.

Thanks buddy! Awesome.

Only God knows.

Any fans of Lobster rolls? Also how do you like your Lobster roll with mayo or traditional with just butter?

I was this cool the whole time.

It's funny, despite my annual trips to Maine, I've only ever bothered having a lobster roll once - and it was at a 99 Restaurant (not exactly the best place to judge a dish like that). I believe it was mayo, and not butter, but I was not impressed at all. I've had lobster by itself before, and wasn't thrilled with it either. The best part of it is dipping it in hot butter - otherwise, it's rather bland to me. I'll have to try it again at some point - but the history of lobster is kinda weird - it used to be considered a 'poor person's meal', and as the years went by, it progressed into an expensive and luxury dish almost like a good steak. Almost like how being overweight used to be a signal of wealth and status way back when, and now it's closer to a sign of either poverty or laziness - or at the very least, bad eating habits/excercise.

broccoli, RX bar, Protein drink, protein kind bar for dinner

I've only had one once, many years ago when my cousin had a wedding at a nice hotel. I remember it being pretty good; I don't recall mayo being involved but this was also around 20 years ago so my memory is all blotchy.

"stressed" is just "desserts" spelled backwards

Maine Lobster rolls have mayo but Connecticut Lobster rolls are traditional with some melted butter.

Made burritos out my chili.

Just filled them with chili and some grated cheese. Then topped with grated cheese and baked for a bit.

They were great.

Only God knows.

Nice. The Hawk wishes he could cook like this  8)
