^ Oh, that's too bad and understandable why you'd be turned off peas after that.   :-\

Speaking of yellow peas, I found some raw ones scattered on the kitchen floor when I was a toddler and proceeded to put a few up my nose for some strange reason.  As the day went on and I became more and more uncomfortable, my family figured out what I had done and I was rushed to a local medical clinic.  The doctor had to remove the peas (which had since traveled way up my nose) using a long forceps-type bent scissor.  Fun.

Uk lads and ladies.

What's Banoffee?

If I even spelled it correctly.

I was this cool the whole time.

Pretty sure it's a type of dessert pie. But it just means banana and toffee so you could theoretically have banoffee loads of things.

You could have banoffee pie or banoffee ice cream. Banoffee pie is popular. You probably mean that.

I haven't had it BTW. I don't eat sweet things.

Only God knows.

I was wondering what your verdict is on it but yeah you don't eat sweets so. I shouldn't be eating sweets but I do anyways. I try to stick to fruits to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings but my wife loves snacks and there is always so much temptation in the house.

Sorry, I just don't understand what you mean. ???

Any other avid oatmeal eaters in this thread?

What are your favorite oatmeal toppings? I have come to the conclusion recently that I don't like fresh raspberries as much as I do the artificial flavoring of it. The texture reminds me too much of strawberries which I'm not a fan of either.

I mainly stick to bananas and blueberries in my oatmeal but I'm looking to spruce it up some. Maybe I will find inspiration in others.

Honey if I eat it out a bowl.

But I just put it in a protein beaker as you know.

Only God knows.

I absolutely love raspberries and bananas. Strawberries I'm less keen on because they have less give to the texture and I like the juiciness of a good raspberry.

"stressed" is just "desserts" spelled backwards

I like the flavour of raspberries, but I hate getting their little seeds stuck in my teeth 🙂

yeah something about raspberries I can't get into bleh.

I'm thinking about putting chia seeds or trying out flax seeds in my oatmeal and maybe some greek yogurt.

I love raspberries and just had some on top of Greek yogurt this morning. I don't really notice the seeds in raspberries because they're small and velvety.

I don't like blueberries, especially if they're bitter.   Don't care for their mushy/woodsy texture either.

I don't mind blackberries flavor-wise, but they're way too seedy.

I like strawberries, but they have to be very ripe.

Am I picky enough about berries?

For oatmeal, Bob's Red Mill Scottish porridge is by far my favorite - so smooth and delicious!

I noticed Bob's Red Mill oatmeal products have popped up in my local Wal-Mart. I'm thinking about trying it next time. I normally go for the classic Quaker Oats.

Those god damned quakers. They know their oats, though.

Do you guys get skyr?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyr

It's from Iceland, but has also been produced here for some years now. It's similar to yoghurt, but has a pretty decent protein content.

I would be willing to try it but I haven't tasted it before.
