I find myself wondering, given that Google is a massive AMERICAN concern, and seems to be bowing to the Trumpian altar, is it still safe to use it? Am I likely to wake up one day and find anything I've written that is anti-Trump or pro-LGBTQi or just that the administration doesn't agree with has been either a) altered b) edited/redacted c) made inaccessible or d) deleted? Am I being over-concerned here, or is this a valid fear? Surely Google can get access to all our documents if they want, and if they're told by His Imperial Trumpness to do a hatchet job, they can? So, would you consider Google Docs still a place for free speech?

When you get that feeling and you want techsual healing then @QuantumSync is your man.

@Trollheart

I don't think Google will ever do any of that stuff like altering, editing, redacting and deleting. I think a lot of people on the democrat/liberal side in America have those concerns also. It seems to be either very public opinionated against the trump admin or worried about having an opinion in fear of being harmed.

nothing really is private online, even places people think are private. Google Docs used as a notes app on a phone for grocery lists and to do lists, or work stuff I would assume to be completely safe. But there are AI tools that scan for keywords that alert American authorities if needed.

Plus Google Gemini has the ability to scan words on photos, which is a bit scary but even something typed onto a photo, like a meme, can be monitored.
