Absolutely disgusting. They are banning trans people from the bathrooms of their transitioned sex, and "in some circumstances" also from the bathrooms of their birth sex. This is just deliberate nonsense and pure cruelty. The completely manufactured bathroom hysteria has eclipsed the actual necessity of public bathrooms existing, and I know they're not dumb; this is a step toward forcing trans people out of public life or intimidated into detransitioning. The UK government are treating trans people worse than the US government at this point.

The UK once again one-ups itself on the draconian cruelty. Not only to the children whose hope they're trampling on, but their assertion that any significant number of trans people are "not trans, just autistic/ADHD" and using that as pretense to disallow them to access transition healthcare is a pretty obvious telegraphed step toward applying the same infantilizing policy to neurodivergent trans adults.

Estrogen is also illegal to order without a prescription in the UK, I'm sure testosterone is too. This sets precedent to straight up deprive trans people of life-saving healthcare. If these lawmakers are dismissing the tens of thousands of happily transitioned autistic and ADHD people as "not truly trans", then any trans person can be denied transition care. I would go so far as to say this is a preface toward (an attempt at) legal erasure of trans people as a whole, and given RFK's similar views toward neurodivergence it's only a matter of time before it hits the US. And as someone with an ADHD diagnosis I'm terrified of the prospects.

The UK supreme court maliciously and intentionally went back on their ruling re: trans rights from 2010 and are being dishonest about doing so in the interest of well-funded anti-trans lobbyists.





The court is actively shutting trans people out of challenging their lies; we are being barred from advocating for matters of our own health and safety. Lobbying organizations that exist solely to be anti-trans are allowed though, of course. This is a kangaroo sham and the destruction of fairness, justice and democracy, and the fake feminist "gender criticals" who support it are going to keep on pretending they're any better than MAGA.

Between this, banning blockers as "unsafe" yet still allowing them for cis kids, and insisting that neurodivergent people aren't "really trans", these arrogant bigoted farthuffing liars are rewriting history and dismissing all the scientific and medical understanding and statistical evidence on gender, sex, endocrinology, biology, and public safety that has been achieved in the past century and replacing it all with partisan ideological quackery, all just to avoid treating other people with the slightest bit of common humanity, respect and dignity.

They are covering up trans youth suicide statistics. They want us to be unsafe, unhappy, and dead.

Also the Trump HHS published a pro-conversion therapy "report" with zero credited authors, around 10 pages of "evidence" consisting of mostly decades outdated and superseded studies, a citation that literally reads "404: page not found" and hallmarks of being written by ChatGPT. I'm not going to dignify its existence by linking it.

And of course the complicit media is reporting this like it's something groundbreaking and worth taking seriously, and refusing to acknowledge its pro-conversion therapy bent.

It's the easiest thing to fact check and debunk, but when it comes to coverage of trans issues the media might as well be the Ministry of Truth.

I just discovered the term "epistemicide" and that's a good way to put it.
