Just so you know, John, most of us are ex-Music Banter. It was getting a little toxic over there and the owners didn't seem to care, so Guybrush created this place (and I helped a little) so that we could jump overboard and swim for a new shore. We are a young forum, but we hope to grow, and it is usually fairly busy here, so like I say I hope you enjoy your time here and we look forward to seeing you around, and hopefully becoming a full time member of our little family.

If you have any questions, just ask Guy or me (I'm usually hanging around,up to no good) and we'll be glad to help.

Hi SCD.  I'm a brand newbie here, introduced through the Music Banter forum.  I've been a member over there for years, although I haven't been active there in a very long time.  I recently updated my account there, started posting again and learned about this forum.  I like having a variety of social media platforms where I can waste my time  and enjoy reading and participating in a variety of topical discussions, including music, film, literature, pop culture, intersectional feminism and some politics.  Glad to 'meet' you all.  Stop by and say hi.

Sorry... just catching up with some of the comments.  I grew up generally in the SoCal area, and then spent 26 years in Los Angeles.  I now live in northern central CA.
