I watched the first series and loved it.

Any of you lot seen the new series and if so, any good?

Only God knows.

I finished up the second season yesterday and while I did like it. It definitely seems like half a season that's all I'm going to say.

I was this cool the whole time.

So basically, average?

Only God knows.

Sorry, JJ, I don't have any info on Squid Game 2 - but I suspect that it'll be pretty weak.

I think novelty was the big attraction of the first Squid Game series: everyone wanted to know how this unprecendented game idea would play out - but even in the first series, I found the novelty beginning to wane. What's more, as tv entertainment, the programme's premise had this flaw: each episode a character or a story-line that you got interested in was eliminated, so that episodes kept reducing in characters and story lines. Imagine having that kind of dynamic in some classic soap-opera series like Coronation Street !!

By the time of it's concluding episode, I felt Squid Game had exhausted its novelty value, so I can't imagine that I'll be motivated to explore SG 2. I'd rather remember SG 1 the way I do now: entertaining, but soon over, like the popularity of a summer pop song that you hear everywhere for a few months and then get tired of.

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.

Aren't you curious about the people the run the games?

I was this cool the whole time.

I wasn't that curious at the end of season one - but I suppose that a good opening episode to season 2 could persuade me to become interested.

First two episodes are pretty compelling, give it a shot.

I was this cool the whole time.
