I guess one of the guys that was gonna vote fell asleep since they did this vote at like 1 in the morning. They passed the bill that I went to DC to get them to vote no on. Sweeping cuts to HUD funding which covers public housing and section 8/9, cuts to Medicaid and Medicare and it also has a weird thing they threw in about removing silencers from the National Firearms Act. I'm sure there are other things they snuck into that bill as well.

Let's see what happens in the Senate now. I guess some of these guys don't care about having jobs after the midterms.

I hope for the sake of ordinary Americans, there will be another John McCain in the Senate to "thumbs down" this proposal, which in essence takes from the poor in order to give to the rich:-

Trump Admin suffered 2 separate losses in Federal Court today, both related to the Dept. of ED.

1: A court granted a permanent injunction to the American Federation of Teachers against the closing of the Dept. of ED.

2: A coalition of state attorneys general won a permanent injunction against reducing the Dept. of ED. by 50%.

Both of these were at District Court level, so one or more appeals are likely.
