Cryptically-disguised song lyrics

Oh well, may as well make an effort I guess.

It seems to me I did this before, here, but I'll be damned if I can find it and I have looked twice, both in "Music" and "Games" (oh, and in "Lounge" too) so if it's still around somewhere and you know where, let me know. If not, here we go.

Simple premise: I've rewritten the lyrics of (mostly) famous or well-known songs. See if you can work them out.

Note: Ribbons is not banned (wouldn't do that!), but should not give any of the answers, as she was one of a number of people (alright, two!) who played this game and kept it alive over on  Moribund Banter.

@ribbons Yeah sorry honey: you and Saulaac were the only two to really play on Memories Blasted, so while by all means enjoy reading, it wouldn't be fair for you to guess (unless you have genuinely forgotten; it was many months ago)

Correct indeed. I'm also putting any answers in spoiler tags, so that, even if one is solved but someone else wants to try it, they have the option of doing so for themselves (once a song is answered it's done as far as the round is concerned) and then if they really can't get it they can always click the spoiler tag. I think that's the best way to do it.

Two left as of now. I'll leave each round up for a week or until all songs are solved, whichever is shorter, then move on to posting round 2.
