I would agree here. It's almost like saying "all that trans stuff" or even substitute "stuff" for "nonsense". While apathy is preferably to hatred, for evil to triumph etc etc etc.

Politics is about having and holding power. If you have power you can deal with "peripheral" issues. To get power you must first deal with the primary issues that affect everybody.

My dream ticket, Emmanuel/Buttigieg. Butti made it clear last week that he will not run for senator or Governor in Michigan his new home state.

They don't get to the topic of 2028 until near the end, but Emmanuel is straightforward and on brand throughout, such as,
"the Democratic brand is toxic". No excuses, diversion or sugarcoating. Just get the job done.

We had just sat down in our booth at Pizzeria Portofino, an upscale restaurant on the riverfront he revitalized as mayor, when I asked Rahm Emanuel how he was doing.

"I don't have prostate cancer," he quipped.

There it was. Sharp, funny, a little nasty, a little glib—and aimed directly at the proverbial elephant in the room. Classic Rahm Emanuel.

I had come to Chicago because I wanted to know who was going to lead the Democratic Party out of its doldrums, and there were rumors—more than rumors—that Emanuel wanted to be that guy.

Barring something unforeseen, I think there's little doubt he will run, he certainly wants to.
