What Sucks About...?

In a light-hearted, don't-get-anything-in-a-twist-no-you-can't-have-my-home-address-what-an-odd-thing-to-ask-and-is-that-a-shotgun kind of way, say what you think sucks about any artist, genre or album. Unsurprisingly, I'll start.

NU-metal

Don't get it. After my recent misadventures with Korn, and my one endurance of a Slipknot album, it seems to me most of this is pretty much driven along the same lines: quiet guitar intro (possibly accompanied by low-key vocal) which then POUNDS YOU INTO SUBMISSION as vocalist roars and shrieks and growls about all the stuff they don't like. Is nu-metal the metal equivalent of emo, or even teen angst set to (ahem) music? I will admit I ain't heard too much of it, but what I have heard tends to sound quite similar.

And no, I don't want recs thanks. I believe I can live my life quite happily without nu-metal in it.
