Quote from: Lexi Darling on Apr 16, 2025, 01:40 AMI apologize TH, my life has been such chaos as of late that I have no time to listen to much music at all let alone devote time to reviewing it, so unfortunately I will have to officially bow out from this project until further notice. Thanks for understanding. <3

I'm sorry that the circumstances of your life are shifting around and piling up on top of you, Lexi. Obviously, looking after yourself and your loved ones is priority #1, but as TH says, post a choice in the mixtape if you get a chance: no obligation to write a review - which seems to be the approach taken by Guybrush and DJ these days, anyway !!

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.

Haven't you heard? Guybrush has lured his family up to a cabin in the woods where he's going to brutally and callously

spend a nice Easter weekend with them

, laughing all the while as he does it! Fair makes the blood run cold!

Guybrush, we didn't intend for you to take the 'outer space' thing literally. It didn't mean booking a quick weekend deal in the remotest part of Norway! Please come back   :)

"An underrated muso" but don't quote me on it..

Aaaight!!

Ricky Bird - Aliens
Yes! This is delightful. Very retro, of course, but quite varied with a lot happening. Catchy, fun and already added to my rotation.

Tool - Rosetta Stoned
I never loved Tool, but I've always liked them. Great musicianship, great sound, songs with interesting structures and elements. Like this one.

Lemon Jelly - Space Walk
It's a rather pleasant song, but not the sort of music I actively listen to as it repeats while adding elements to the same two chord bars or so over most of its runtime.. although we do get some variation midway and also in instrumentation. I might just leave it on as pleasant background noise, but it's also a bit busy for that.

The Rah Band - Clouds Across the Moon
This song is familiar to me, although I haven't heard it in ages. It's quite cutesy, fun and doesn't take itself too seriously. What's not to like?

The Martian - Stardancer
Why does it go crazy on both claps and hi-hat? Calm down with the percussive elements. There's not much else going on here, so I think it's lacking in musicality.

Vangelis - Intergalactic Radio Station
I'm somewhat familiar with this as this album was part of our rotation for DnD evenings in the 90s. Its basic musical tapestry is rather boring and repetitive, but the various sounds and layers are fun. Still, this is background music.
