The tweets I'm seeing of people who got rotten or gone off turkeys from the supermarket and are complaining to them on Twitter

Been a good Christmas here. A little tired of tidying and prepping meals and managing kids and hosting etc. and am dying for some me-time, but it's still good.

My wife's mother's been sick and has stayed in her room. Her father h joas a lung infection and can barely talk, so he keeps away.

Her little brother is here with his girlfriend who we don't really know from before, but she's very nice, so.. all in all, my in-laws being sick and Ys having someone new here for Christmas has out a dampener on all those fights I imagined we'd have. Very nice.

I got two gifts only for me. One was a scarf and the other was a tarot deck (!). But I already have a tarot deck (!!).

I don't believe in tarot either, but they're kinda cool. Now I need an ouija board.

Happiness is a warm manatee

Every year the Santa sleigh drives down our road and has the lights on and helpers and all that sort of thing for the kids. My mom would stand at the window like a little child excited to see it every year then go out and talk to them and make a donation for the kids.

I decided to do that for her this year. I'm surprised how upset I am now. Back inside typing in my phone trying not to cry in front of my dad.

I'm glad I did that for her.
