@Trollheart, after a discussion with
@Lisnaholic, but we're doing it with the other guy. You know, the one who cheats on his wife with porn stars, talks about how hot his daughter is, and once suggested nuking hurricanes to stop them from hitting the United States - yeah, that guy.

Use this thread as a repository of all the stupid/inappropriate/dumb/incredible things the previous POTUS has said, proof that he is at this point ready for the rocking chair or the glue factory.
We'll start with Trump wondering if noise from windmills causes cancer.
Or how bout Trump letting Howard Stern call his daughter a 'piece of ass' and talk about how he went into the dressing room of beauty pageants (as the owner of the pageant) while women were naked to 'inspect'?
Trump at his Wildwood, New Jersey rally recently (https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4660008-donald-trump-hannibal-lecter-wonderful-man/):
"Has anyone ever seen 'The Silence of the Lambs'? The late, great Hannibal Lecter. He's a wonderful man. He oftentimes would have a friend for dinner. Remember the last scene? 'Excuse me, I'm about to have a friend for dinner,' as this poor doctor walked by. 'I'm about to have a friend for dinner.' But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter."
So Biden is out telling fictitious stories about his Uncle Bosie getting eaten by cannibals, and then in response, Trump comes out and praises fictitious cannibals?
Judged by today's standards, that Howard Stern interview is even creepier than it must've sounded at the time, with the creepiest guy being Howard Stern imo.
Very commendable that you should open a thread to balance out the Laugh At Biden threads, SGR. Laughing at Trump's pronouncements, though, is rather like shooting fish in a barrel: yes, it's really easy, but I chose that metaphor for this reason: you shoot fish in a barrel when there are so many of them that you can't be bothered to take them out and kill them individually. That's how I feel about choosing a Trump blunder and posting it here: too many, and too aggravating, to even start.
I looked this one up for the fascinating pronunciation of "states", but I had forgotten the context of the clip, seems a bit less funny now given what's happened in the world since, but back around the time the mister and I first met we used to say "god bless the united shaysh" as a running joke.

I remember that one lol.
You just jogged my memory on Trump's repeated hydro hijinx. In his response to Hurricane Florence relief efforts, he said:
"This is a tough hurricane. One of the wettest hurricanes we've ever seen, from the standpoint of water."
In his response to the disaster in Puerto Rico:
"This is an island. Surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water."

Watch out for that big, wet water, and stay hydrated folks.
I love the hairflap. It's like that glimpse under Darth Vader's helmet in Empire Strikes Back:

Before the 24-hour news networks, presidential blunders seemed to be a little more rare. Nowadays, you're right, every minor misstep is ceaselessly documented and shared. Makes me think maybe there's a thread in that too - historical presidential blunders and goofs.
Some of my favorites:
President Bush (senior) pukes on the Japanese prime minister:
President Ford falls down stairs:
And possibly my personal favorite, the Jimmy Carter 'rabbit incident' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter_rabbit_incident) where Jimmy Carter had to courageously fight for his life and fend off a crazed killer rabbit while fishing. Now, his political opponents made jokes about it, but Jimmy Carter had seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and he wasn't taking any fucking chances. It's a miracle he survived, honestly.
Really, all I can say is that this thread trumps my Biden one.
That's the door, is it? Okay, okay, I'm going! No need to be rude! And I'm taking this plate of cookies with me.

Donlad Trump, if you didn't know, is an expert on hurricanes. Nobody knows hurricanes and can describe them like Trump can, believe me. Also, nobody hates hurricanes like Trump does. He hates being taunted by them.
"Hurricane Harvey, sounds like a very innocent name, but it's not an innocent hurricane, that I can tell you".

Lol this is new to me. Was that supposed to be an intentional pause with the music for some kind of lame melodramatic effect? The Trump I know doesn't usually shut up for 30 seconds.

Lol, it is extremely out of character yeah. I think most likely he stopped because of a messup from the teleprompter but either way it's not a good look.
I think this just happened yesterday; Aaron showed it to me this morning.
Does anyone remember Trump's infamous 'ramp descent'?
The media bit on it and were bringing on experts to get their opinion on whether or not this was an indication of physical decline. And then, at some rally, Trump defended the 'ramp descent' in one of weirdest fever dream comedy routine sequences I think I've heard him give at a rally. He also defended the way he drinks water, claiming he doesn't like to get 'water on the tie'. This is an abridged version of the whole speech, but he spends about 15 minutes telling a story, in great detail, about walking down a ramp and drinking water, the intricacies of silk ties and how handsome he looked 'running down the ramp'. And then the payoff or punchline is him pulling out a glass of water and taking a couple sips, to an eruption of cheers from his supporters.
If you were to show this to someone from the '70s and tell them: "This is a campaign rally speech from a future US president", they'd think you were nuts.
And of course, can't forget Schmoyoho riffing on the whole thing for one of their most memorable videos.
Same as it ever was...

I was watching a video recently that reminded me of when people were saying Trump put his pants on backwards
Where's the zipper, Donald?
Here is the aforementioned video that included that clip.
"YOU CANT DO THAT!"
Very dumb, but makes me laugh.

What, another "turn off your ad blocker" link?
I see Trump is making more unfounded allegations (shock! Horror!) saying things like "My enemies don't like me, maybe they tried to kill me." Quite clever in a diabolical way: he's not literally accusing them, just shrugging and saying maybe they did, maybe they didn't. But of course you know and I know how his supporters are going to jump on that as the Gospel According to Trump V. 2.0!
