It might, and probably does, seem arrogant that I would want a sub-forum for my journals, but although yeah, in some ways it can't be denied it is, in other ways it's not. My main worry is that I am known as a journal machine, with something in the region of fifty separate journals either online in Music Banter and other places or ready to go, and more planned. The idea that I would be constantly posting in the main journal section and people would get fed up seeing my journals push them down concerns me, not only because it would seem, well, pushy and rude on my part, but also your journals deserve to be seen and read just as much as, if not more than, mine, so that's hardly fair.
On the other hand, I have no intention of stalling my journals posting for fear of blocking you. I happen to love writing, am interested in a wide variety of topics, and believe that a good percentage of what I write is worth reading. So the only answer then was to have my own sub-forum, which Guybrush has kindly built for me. Over the next few days I will move (or ask him to move, more likely) the journals I have already posted in the main journals section to here, and from then on all my journals can be found here. I will also be porting over some of my bigger and more popular ones, including my various histories of countries, vampires, serial killers and the history of progressive rock, to name but a few.
I'll keep a detailed update list here, and will also have an announcement/update thread in the main section, so you'll know when new journals are posted or when new entries are made. I'll also be happy to answer any questions anyone may have about my journals, should anyone feel like asking.
So that's it for now. A new day dawns for my many journals, and they will no longer be in danger of crowding yours out, so post without fear! See you all around!

More than 2 years later, and here's my second post! Well that's hardly like me, is it?
I'm just going to use this now as a way of telling anyone who's interested what's coming up next, as in, which journal(s) is or are going to be updated soon, and also perhaps drop a few hints on new ones to make their debut.
Next, and probably - though not for certain - in this order:
For the Shield or for the Cash - My exploration of crime TV series continues with, hopefully, entries which will bring us bang up to date. If this was being written in 1960, that is.
Four Green Fields - The history of Ireland gets tumultuous as we explore the rise of proper Irish resistance to the English occupation of our island via two very different organisations: one one hand, the law of the gun courtesy of the Fenians and the Irish Republican Army. On the other, the word of God with the rise to power of the Catholic Church.
This Sceptred Isle - historically speaking, my history of England is about six or seven hundred years (now, where have I heard that term before? ;) ) behind that of my history of Ireland, so we're up to about the 13th century, the age of Magna Carta and there's another Henry on the throne of England. More to the point though, his son, who will become Edward I and known as "Longshanks", will also usher in what we might call the "Braveheart era". Yes, it's Edward I in the blue corner, William Wallace in the red, two men enter, one man leaves.
Fast Horse Outta Town - Been a while since I updated this, but I have been working hard on a major article concerning the California Gold Rush, so watch for that soon.
Flames Across the World - World War II finally starts, but if you think you know the date it began, think again.
As for new journals, well, how does the entire history of TV programmes grab you? Stay tuned.
That's it for now. More soon!
