We're doing the SCD awards for 2024 in a bit. I thought I'd start gathering votes this weekend.
First, I just want you to take a gander at the categories. Are these OK? Is anything missing or should we make something disappear?

Looks good to me too. If you're going to have a section for Movie Buff perhaps Politico too? I know three people who'd be fighting it out for that!

Good to see that you added "Biggest Muso" as a new category this year, GB!
I thought I'd be in with a good chance of getting that one 'cos I seem to be the only one that posts geekily about the note intervals (like C major, C minor), but then I remember that in fact all of you have been swatting music theory for years as well. Including new members like "larsvsnapster" who stayed with us for a while and talked about quartal intervals but sadly I didn't get the chance to ask him what he meant.
If I get "Biggest Muso" award, then I pledge to uphold the fundamental values of music composition, arrangement and production. And I promise to actually practise my bass instead of playing air bass around the house. That is my pledge!
And it goes without saying that if someone says that that they absolutely love a tune then please try if poss to explain the note or chord progression which led them to love that tune.
