I think we should dedicate a thread to this ancient and beautiful art. I've recently started making origami again:

I prefer making insects; I feel like they always turn out better than other things. The first one is designed by Brian Chan, I don't remember where the second one is from
You made those?
From just one piece of paper?
Where is the guide or whatever?
I like this.
yes I made them from one piece of (square) paper. there are pdfs of guides online; if you google locust brian chan and cyclommatus metallifer Satoshi Kamiya (I found the name of the designer) you can find instructions
if you've never folded before I recommend satoshi kamiya's book called new generation of origami (there are pdfs online of that too). The difficulty of the designs goes up gradually so that's a nice way to get used to it
Did you have to rip or cut the paper at all?
Nope, no cutting or glueing
Holy shit. Well done; that is seriously impressive.
Wow, very impressive 🙂 thanks for sharing,
@Marie Monday .
Since both me and my wife has worked in entomology, we have a bit of insect stuff around the house. These would fit right in.. and it might be fun to do with the kids too.
