Pearl is an idiot. She doesn't realize she got roasted and owned at the end. That lady doesn't know how to deal with trolls. Just don't give them attention.

Quote from: Mrs. Waffles on Oct 09, 2023, 01:42 AMGod I hate this dumbass. She says stuff that's so incredibly absurd that people (rightly) don't engage with or entertain her bullsh*t, then she acts like she's won the debate and that no one can debunk her totally flawless logic.

I remember seeing she made some polls on twitter asking stuff like "are menz better den wominz?" and of course her brain rotted right wing fans all voted yes, and she tried to pass off those results as definitive proof of her opinion being the correct and most popular one, yeah no sh*t people who follow you or are in your orbit enough to see your Twitter poll voted to agree with you. Debating her is like debating a fourth grader.

^ I have never heard of this Pearl (and maybe I was better off ).  She's an idiot, though - and so is the guy with her (Troy?).  What a pathetic duo.  I didn't like the woman with the gross cat shtick - what does that have to do with being feminist, exactly?

I actually think the podcast woman (Deborah Frances) did well while engaging with her at the end, staying calm and composed - then leaning in the zinger.  ;D

That's really bad but I'm not surprised.

If you can do a pull up you're probably in the top 5% of the population for fitness in the USA.

I'm not shitting on you, it would probably be similar here and most countries tbh.

How many can you do JJ?

Between 5 and 10.

BTW my progress pics are post #313 in the workout thread if you want an idea of my size.

What about you?

Only God knows.

Yeah, I've seen them and you're fucking huge, so I'm not surprised by the relatively "low" number. It's impressive at your size.
I haven't done max rep pullups with bodyweight in ages, so hard to tell. I can do 8 weighted with 20kgs, but it's neutral and close grip, so it might be a bit easier. I assume I'd be somehwere between 15 and 20 with normal grip and bw only.

Thank you 🥹

That's good work mate. We are both in the elite group of the population 😎

Only God knows.

Yeah, it's a good feeling. (Especially if you don't think about what shape the average person is in.)
After a quick trip to the basement I think I'm probably closer to 15. I did 12, with 1 or 2 reps in the tank, but I'm also the heaviest I've ever been, I had a big meal not long ago and I didn't warm up.

Given the name of the forum I thought I would post this. Anybody who is a fan of Monty Python & Hitch-hikers Guide To The Galaxy might want to see this.
This is the first and only episode of a show called 'Out Of The Trees' written by Graham Chapman and Douglas Adams which was transmitted in 1975.
As this episode didn't do very well on transmission, the series was scrapped before they had even finished writing the second episode.

It's .... Interesting to say the least.

I quite like the idea of a hover mower with leather upholstery and an 8-track stereo.  8)

Pull ups are rough. I doubt I can pull off one. I do use the assisted pull up machine at the gym but doing a pull up on my own. No thanks I don't think I can pull it off yet.

I was this cool the whole time.

I started with resistance bands. I do still use them for high rep sets and stuff.

At the park on the climbing frame I can do neutral grip pull ups and I tried and it's much more comfortable than overhand grip. Maybe try some different grips.

Only God knows.

Hey, thanks for sharing this 🙂

Been a fan of Monty Python and Graham Chapman pretty much since childhood and didn't know about this.

Good grief the entitlement. Wow.

She's lucky he even bothered to still pick her up.
