This is about to be a trash fucking video but I will watch it anyways so I can give my input. I already know it's a trash fucking take just from the title.

Edit: Just as I thought, Color Blindness is an issue because it essentially decides to ignore cultures. It isn't grounded in realism.  He advocates for having class based policing instead of race based but the reality of the situation is that class AND race go pretty much hand in hand when it comes to equality and certain policies need to be in place to combat systemic racism.

I was this cool the whole time.

Because my brain is fitness focused these days, my immediate thought was that you're somehow talking about biceps curls.

Like you'd entertain your friends by showing how much weight you can curl. 💪

He cites real world examples as to where class-based policies create better real world outcomes. Do you have something specific to say to what he cited or are you going to stick with your take?  I think you conflate class and race because class-based issues are the root of most race-based issues in 2023 and "perhaps" you aren't that good at distinguishing them.  He clearly showcased the right way to give out free money versus the race-based neoliberal DEI not-so-great way to do it.  And I think you should listen to the last part of what he said a little closer.

Haha, that would be pretty amazing considering my hormone therapy has caused my arm muscles to atrophy considerably.

It actually really sucks, I used to be able to lift and carry my 95 pound mother just 5 years ago and now I'm helpless to lift anything over like 30-35 pounds.

So much for us trans women having an innate physical advantage lol.

"stressed" is just "desserts" spelled backwards

His examples are bullshit and I did listen to them. Race based issues in the past has created the class based issues that we have today. He wants to take sledgehammer to a more nuanced problem when you need a katana for it.

It isn't a clear cut solution but I feel like because you haven't experienced it being a minority it doesn't seem like that big of a deal to you.

I was this cool the whole time.

I like him because he's a solutions oriented guy in a world full of mostly failed solutions.  He's clearly "felt" what being a minority is like and still wants to try. What does taking a "katana" to these issues mean when he literally spelled out for you why something worked versus why something didn't.  I don't recall him saying to overturn the Civil Rights Act or "existing protections".

I think it's bullshit because I have experience where he's just an outside idea/solutions person. So that's my animosity towards him and his fabled ideas. I'd love to talk to him in person to debate him and deconstruct all of his arguments right in his face.

My use of "katana" just means that he might be on the right track but he needs to fine tune it more because it isn't as cut and dry as he's making it seem. He is missing out on intersecting issues thats why.

NGL, I think you'd probably lose that one.  He's spoken in front on Congress and done a ton of podcasts, published papers, etc.  If you ever get into that seat though, send me the livestream lol.

From 2019 and just as relevant in 2023...

The End of American Exceptionalism

An old classic!

Nah, I wouldn't lose and even if he felt like I did lose to him it wouldn't even matter. He's talking utter bollocks and should hear counter points about why his line of thinking is slightly flawed.

Lol what a great attitude you have.  I'm sure that'll work out great.
