Same I usually watch the prank videos and end up wanting the YouTubers to get taught a lesson. I dunno if you're aware of this kid called Mizzy but if you search his name you'll see loads of stuff. He is very disliked cos he did one prank where him and his mates walked into random people's houses. I did laugh at his prank where he went up to a random black woman and pretended it was his mom

Only God knows.

Quote from: jimmy jazz on Jul 20, 2023, 06:14 PMThe geography ones are appalling. Even when I speak to Americans who seem decent and well spoken, intelligent even, as soon as geography is involved they're like WTF.

Do you not learn geography in school? 🙀
common people are just dumb af imo

My limited exposure to what british people are like leaves me highly dubious that they're gonna be passing any on the fly pop quizzes on the street either.

Europeans and brits might be somewhat better at geography on average but that's only cause their countries don't matter. So they have more time to learn about their neighbors. At the end of the day, even they are more fixated on American issues, just like everyone else. Cause we're the center of the world.

Not sure what you mean by this and I don't see how this is linked. We both have the same time to learn whatever. Average European is going to be able to name a continent and it's not because their countries do or don't 'matter'.

But agree the random person on the street is dumb as fuck and that's basically the point of the video.

Only God knows.

BTW do you have a list of countries that matter (in your opinion)?  8)

Only God knows.

Fortunately not, because if true, that would be horribly depressing.

You're a bunch of savages over there.

you are more international in europe cause your countries are basically the size of our states

For you to go to France is like for me to go to Georgia

Yeah unfortunately I know Mizzy. Isn't he currently in jail. I know he got arrested twice for his antics. He could never pull off that prank stateside. Where he just walks into a random person's house. He would definitely get shot.

I was this cool the whole time.

In a physical sense, that's true, though European cultures can be very different. It's fascinating how much changes after a short plane ride and kinda weird that it's so easy to quickly get to a place that can be so fundamentally different.

One of the upsides to living in Europe, I guess.

yes true but it's not the same over here.  Think of who our neighbors are.  Canada and Mexico.  So we're pretty much single handedly carrying the continent.

If you ever lived in America you would notice that generally speaking its big enough to be a world in of itself. And it's on the other side of the ocean from where the rest of the action is.  So it's probably more insular for that reason.

And i would say the cultures being different in Europe basically adds to my point.  The idea of it being inexpensive to go visit a dufferent country with a different language is pretty alien to me. The cheapest (safe) option might be fake france up there in Canada.

This guy is really annoying, the way he rides that bike, he's gonna hurt himself.

This video didn't make it look that bad compared to some of the others I've seen which says a lot because it still looks horrendous here.

I imagine he's had his share of wipeouts. The footage of him riding on the sidewalks was the thing that annoyed me. I kept thinking he was going to run into someone while he was doing it. Illegal to do so in many parts of the U.S., but legal in L.A.

Plane ride? Don't you mean hour train ride and cultures switch up and are drastically different.
