New album out today.

Apparently it's a masterpiece.

Only God knows.

I'm so hyped. She's one of my favorite artists of the past decade and while I thought the second album was inconsistent it still had a lot of stuff I liked.

I will probably not be able to stay up until after midnight but I will post my thoughts when I listen to it.

I still haven't had the time to listen to the new album yet so here's an iconic Billie moment.

First impression: Overall pretty good. Some of the slower sections are kinda tedious though. Don't think I'll end up enjoying this as much as her debut but it's much better than I feared.

What did you think of her second one?

Only God knows.

Listened to it briefly and thought it was kinda forgettable. And yeah, I indeed completely forgot how it sounds. I'll certainly check it out again at some point though.

I thought about half of it was really good and the other half was mostly unmemorable. I really like My Future, Billie Bossa Nova, Therefore I Am, Your Power and the title track, and Lost Cause, Getting Older and Oxytocin are solid b-tier tracks. Nowhere near as tight or consistent as her debut but a lot of it also has a pretty different vibe that's harder to compare to it.

I am about to listen to the new one; I will report back in a bit.

Well that certainly blew the last album out of the water handily lol.

^ Well, sounds like you liked her new album, Lexi :thumb:

Because of this thread I thought I'd dip my toe into Billie Eilish - into her discography, of course. So yesterday I played a few tracks: I really liked Bury A Friend and a couple of other tracks on her first album. On Happier Than Ever, it was mainly the title track I liked, with Goldwing being a real mis-step imo.
Bottom line for me on those two albums: impressive for such a young artist, but I think she's at risk of overplaying the low-key, angsty teen unless she's adding some new ingredients on this new album.

What you desire is of lesser value than what you have found.
