Yeah I get all that but it was a sick obsession that media had to the point of having a death counter well timer right next to the reporter's head about oxygen left. It was reminiscent of when baby Jessica was trapped down the well in the 80s.

I don't disagree. Kinda reminds me of the Covid death count ticker so many news stations had during 2020.

Ethics in media and news is a little wanting. They look for and amplify stories that inspire the strongest emotional reactions among the audience as that will get clicks and make money. It's also adjacent to social media algorithms, the goal of keeping you engaged, regardless of how it might affect your long-term mental health.

New video posted to social media caught French President Emmanuel Macron enjoying the Elton John concert in Paris on Thursday while the city and the country witnessed another night of violent protests over a fatal police shooting.

Yeah I saw that on the news. Most idiotic and ineffective way to get surveys done. Who the fuck greenlit that idea and thought it would work the way they wanted?

I feel like something else is going on with that situation. They wanted to get rid of money for some sort of reason and hide behind a failed survery initiative. A strange way of money laundering but it feels like it.

It does seem crazy and suspicious at the same time. I imagine that everyone should know that most people are going to throw any letters that look like "junk mail" in the trash without bothering to open it first. Probably would be a good way to scam some taxpayer money.

They literally cite that right wing anti-trans person who got juice dumped on her in New Zealand, such an unbiased and reliable source.

I don't mean to roast you all but please think critically about this. I think that terminology is dumb too, but it's 100 percent a non-issue unless someone can prove that a substantial amount of health professionals are urging for this.

Conservative outlets are the only ones reporting because they think any random trans person saying something dumb is a gotcha they can use to debase the entire community. No one else cares about what one charity said.

Also I've been part of the trans community for two decades and I can tell you right here that literally nobody is offended by the word vagina lmao.

Whatever, I personally don't see how some people being overly cautious with inclusive language is really an issue of world-shattering importance. I've never had anything like this impact my life in any way and somehow I doubt you have either.
